The story
Following Black Myth: Wu Kong, another Chinese studio called Leenzee Games has suddenly launched a game developed using Unreal Engine 4 technology with a female protagonist. The game setting is at the end of the Ming Dynasty in China. Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself in 1644. Then, Zhang Xianzhong led his army into Sichuan. This is the darkest period in history in Sichuan.
After the brutal murders of Zhang Xianzhong plus the tug-of-war between the Great Western Army and the remnants of the Ming Dynasty, bandits took advantage of the opportunity to profit, causing a serious decrease in the population. Also at this time, strange things kept happening, the survivors discovered that their bodies were beginning to change in both appearance and personality. The game’s plot focuses on Wuchang and her journey to find the truth.
Gameplay
Based on the true history of China, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers built a world where plagues and demons raged. In the game, you will control the heroine Wuchang to explore the mystery behind human transformation. You can encounter bandits who are frantically killing people and looting wealth or fierce, giant monsters. The combat mechanism is similar to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls, simply dodging attacks and attacking enemies.
Your character will have a health bar and an energy bar, when performing dashes to dodge enemy moves, it costs a certain amount of energy. Don’t worry because the health bar will heal over time so just use it to keep your health bar from dropping to zero. Pay attention to the enemy’s openings and seize the opportunity to deliver the finishing attack as quickly as possible. In addition, you can also move slowly to make no noise and attack enemies from behind to destroy them with one hit.

When watching the developer’s 18-minute trailer, I was overwhelmed by the game’s graphics. The character is beautifully designed with the physique of a female swordsman. However, this is only a beta version, so the game still has a lot of things that need to be fixed, such as the character’s expression like a robot, the animation is not smooth.
